On the Fence--Shadow Shot Sunday

When I saw this beautiful sight at an elementary school playground on the way to work Thursday, I screeched into the parking lot--don't worry, I made sure there were no kids or other cars in my path--and pulled out my cell phone. I was wishing I had my Canon in the car, but the shot looks pretty good with just the iPhone camera.

The timing and lighting were perfect. The early morning was brilliant and sunshiny, a relative rarity for November in the Midwest.

Make it a great day!

    I HAVE A LITTLE SHADOW

    I have a little shadow that always follows me;
    My shadow is my best friend, as anyone can see.

    No matter where my feet go, my shadow’s always there—
    Except, of course, at midnight with darkness everywhere!

  7. We are used to seeing the autumnal foliage on the ground, horizontal and unnoticed. The vertical motif on the chain link is different - and quite stylish! The yellow-orange leaves are neatly translucent, yet with shadows too. A fine blend of seasonal art!

  16. Hi Ann,
    My first visit to your blog, came from Ms. Becky's blog. You have a wonderful space here.
    The pic is so cheerful, it does not matter that you did not have the canon... Loved the shot, pretty.

  17. I tell you, the iPhones really can take some great shots. My son has the new 4S and it is way better than the 4. My husband uses his all the time and I use it when I don’t have my point and shoot Canon or my Rebel. This shot is so pretty. Love the contrast of the leaves and their beautiful colors against the fencing. Nice shot. genie
